1. Currently Information Agency provides with reliable and updated information on emergency situations occurred in Armenia and in the world.  Summary on emergency situations occurred in Armenia as well as actions and measures undertaken by governmental bodies is sent to e-mail addresses of mass media, news agencies and other interested organizations every morning. Informational, cognitive and training materials find place also in non official “Emergency Channel” web site.


2. “Emergency Channel” Internet Site has already gained a good popularity not only among journalists, but also governmental bodies and public organizations who receive useful information from here. web-site created by support of Soros fund made possible also to create official web-site.


3. “Emergency Channel” TV and Radio Company has been broadcasting its programs on Public TV Company from February 1997 to 1999 once a week and from 1999-2001 - 5 times a week. Prepared programs and video films were broadcasted by all TV companies of the Republic. Only “Emergency Channel” has the video archive of all occurred disasters and implemented training exercises in Armenia during last 20 years as well as materials on undertaken measures of State Disaster Response System and the whole panorama of implemented policy. UN office in Armenia has provided shooting and assembling equipments as well as financial assistance in 1999. As the technical equipment has been completely worn out and there were no other financial resources, “Emergency Channel” has not been broadcasting from 2002. 

Starting from September 2008 with OSCE support “Emergency Channel” has restarted weekly TV programs broadcasting by Public TV cooperating with other TV companies.

“Emergency Channel” also initiated broadcasting weekly radio programs by Public Radio cooperating with other Radio companies from September, 2008.

4. “Emergency” weekly is being published from May 2003 which was a turning event in the field of public awareness and training on emergency situations as reliable and stable source of information. The main goal is to raise the preparedness level of population and governmental bodies while coping with natural and man-made disasters. State programs and plans on emergency prevention and impact reduction are reflected in this weekly. Governmental and self-governmental bodies find here a lot of interesting information on emergencies, civil defense and crisis management. In case of emergency situations the newspaper becomes an operative bulletin with complete, necessary information starting from event description up to practical advices including the addresses and phone numbers of responsible bodies.


5. Training Center develops information policy and training programs and implements them.
